Mixed use, some gaming but not at highest levels, photo and video processing, some music processing.

FYI that build is not well designed and I would never recommend it.

We need clarificiation on 2 things:

The music processing side of things depends what this involves etc, whether it's also creating audio etc, in which case which DAWs etc are used and whatnot.

Can you confirm that your monitor is in fact a 1080p UltraSuperWide? Your description seems to point to it (given you mentioned HD) but Electriq sells 1440p ones as well. This will be a big factor in what GPU is needed

The first response seemed to suggest that that been removed from the group until i supplied the o/s info, sincerest apologies for my misunderstanding.
Yes my monitor is 1080p
Music is mixing via DJ.Studio Pro software - not at a professional level - yet!
Thanks again for taking an interest in my build appreciate your advice

I've done a spec with a couple of provisos:

1) I am not a music person so not sure what is needed for that side of things;
2) I am not entirely sure what GPU is needed for a 1080p Super Utrawide. The 7900GRE is a 1440p GPU but I was erring on the side of caution on that one. Incidentally, for anyone reading, this seems to be the monitor: https://www.electriq.co.uk/p/eiq-49suwd144fshq/electriq-eiq49suwd144fshq-monitor

CPU-wise, the 7900 is just a placeholder for the 7800x3D which is out of stock till next week (it will add £4 to the price). I have made some sacrifices to bring it near budget (dropped the second hard drive etc). If you are replacing a WIndows system which is being retired, then you could always transfer the Windows licence, install it yourself and save £100 odd
