OK. I switch on and constantly press F8 to go into set up it has the PCS logo the logo then goes larger and a blue screen comes up with Qcode and says BAD_POOL_CALLER, i can not even get into the re-install screen today (please see video I took yesterday), i must have tried over 15 times to reinstall following instructions already given by tech but when I got to ending the reinstall it gave this message "The Computer restarted unexpectedly.... Windows Installation can not proceed" also on the PC Specialist screen there is a message to hit DEL or F2 to go to bios (I think) I have attached a a video i took yesterday :) just stuck in this loop, if i can even get this far I have not switched on for a number of hours scared it will get worse :(

To be honest this is what I'd do:

  1. Start the PC under windows 7 & back up all your data to somewhere such as dropbox, onecloud, google drive similar (it should be anyway)
  2. once everything is backed up shut down the PC
  3. put the usb stick with the W10 install files on it into the machine
  4. Restart the pc and hit f2 to enter bios, and in the boot order make sure you set it to boot from the USB, then select save and exit
  5. the pc should now boot into the W10 installer, follow the directions, when you get to a screen that asks what type of install you want, select custom and delete all partitions, then continue with the install

You need to boot from the USB, so you need to select that as the boot device in the BIOS.

At the moment you're trying to boot into windows which is corrupt.

Tried all that, I think the bios is corrupt, its not Windows the bios came with the PC and is ASUS (I think !!) and some form of software was taking from the Cd when i set up the PC that was the first thing I put in the drive when I first booted it as it was supplied in the box, it has all options for overclocking etc of which I never even knew about it till I hit the F2 when it went wrong i thought i was just putting in the needed drivers etc, this is what comes up now and hitting F1 does not work its just this screen I can't do anything else and will not do anything now anyway it needs the PCS experts to sort it, its beyond a normal user to sort in my opinion the whole thing seems to be locked, i am not happy at all I guess tech will sort it or will have to go down the refund route, its not what you expect in your first month of using a new PC, i would just like to add that I have had a Windows PC since mid to late 1990's (Windows 95, 98, XP then 7) and never experienced anything like this before :( If anyone knows how to get into the Windows BIOS please tell me and I can try that, but F2 went into this ASUS BIOS, F8 does not boot into Windows BIOS so there is a bootload but its not Windows ?? So many options in this ASUS and I have resetted to defaults etc no luck and F1 does not work like that screen tells me... so what to do ? :( its almost like Windows 10 has rejected it and so locked me out because of this software really strange :(

from your initial post

Hello,
I recieved what I thought was a super gaming computer with a top graphics card intel 9 all bells and whistles costing over £2000 it has only been running for about a month I have not even played any games yet, I have not put much on it just sorted out my music and that was about it still trying to get my head around windows 10, i was not even at the stage to start migrating my programs from windows 7 to it yet... anyway something went wrong and I am stuck in a re-install windows 10 loop it brings up the error "the computer restarted unexpectedly.... windows installation can not proceed" and I really do not know what to do I guess I will be ringing tech support on monday time run out to ring them back today.... this is so damned frustrating I wonder if anyone has had this sort of problem :( I fear I have made a grave mistake buying it

BIOS isn't corrupt otherwise it wouldn't turn on.

the BSOD is a part of windows, that's showing because you're not booting into the BIOS, so it's trying to start windows. You need to boot into the boot menu of the BIOS and boot the USB. That will then start the windows installer.

At the moment, you're just booting into windows.

I really appreciate your help but how F8 does not work is there another way ??

F2 should take yoi into the bios, just keep pressing it when you power on, then once into the BIOS you can set it to boot from USB and while in there make sure all your drives are showing up

F8 is a windows key, not BIOS related. That BSOD as well is a windows screen. The BIOS runs before loading windows so windows isn't even running when you're accessing the BIOS, so you know that screen tells you you've not gone into the BIOS.

Normally for Asus boards, it's F2 or Del to enter the BIOS, then you need to boot from the USB

The PCS Tech guy yesterday said to use F8 not F2 ?? Nothing works now anyway believe you me I have just double checked and tried again and so posted the photo :(

Tried that 15 times or more got so far with loading files etc after it rebooted and then got the message "The Computer Restarted Unexpectedly.... etc" I even on advice here put the latest Windows 10 on the USB supplied.. no Joy I hate to say it but its broken :( and there is nothing a user can do it needs the experts to sort it which is just a hassle, unless there is a way it can be got into by PCS remotely via the internet :(

You just need to load into the BIOS, that's all.

That screenshot you posted earlier where it's on the post window gives you the option by pressing F1, see if you can get in that way.
