Hey everyone ,

I am looking at buying a pc for my home office

I aim to use: Adobe premier pro / coral draw (to run a plotter) and lots of marketing

My main goal is to have a multi screen set up

Budget £600-£1500

Hi Cammy. When it comes to Adobe, what sort of video work are you doing? Is it heavy on effects? Are you planning to edit at a particular resolution? The load will be on the GPU for that kind of job so it’d be handy to have that info.

Sorry, Cammy. I missed your replies as I had a sensibly early night yesterday. I've got an idea of where I'd go with this but as I'm not one to do much editing myself, I'd probably want to call in someone who knows a bit more about it...

I do quite a bit of editing of a similar type -- few heavy effects, lots of GPU encoding. It's tough to get it under £1500, honestly, and you're inevitably making compromises.

This is kind of the minimum I'd go for. Really you want more cores and you really want another SSD, but I don't see how you can afford them in your budget (which I've had to stretch in any case).

If you have a Windows PC you're retiring you could transfer the licence across and save ~£85...

Its going to be tight on that budget, I assume you have a separate budget for the monitors, I only run a single monitor for my editing, but if i were to use 2 I'd have a 1440p for my main editing screen & then just a low refresh rate 1080p for keeping track of the assets i was using while editing, let me see what i can put together

Ok I've taken @sck451 spec above and changed the graphic card to the 3060Ti, which has taken you another £22 over budget from his spec, but i think its worth it

right this has upped the CPU to the 5800x, put another 1TB M.2 in (the PCS one), and includes a basic 1080p monitor, for the main monitor i'd go for the G5 which is what i use, this comes out at around £2200 including both monitors
