Im looking to buy my first gaming PC with a budget around £800-900. I was wondering if someone could give me a full spec breakdown of what I should go for. I've tried going through it but it's quite overwhelming with so many options to choose and not knowing which ones are best or unnecessary.
I was look to get a simple shell like the Spectrum; an intel i9 16-core CPU as it'll be in the latest range; an ASUS motherboard; 16gb RAM; around 8gb GPU
I'm not sure which specifics to exactly pick. I tried looking at other forums about it but they were quite outdated. Could you please give a 2024 up to date gaming set up list for a budget of around £800ish.

You won't be able to get a custom PC at that budget, you'd be looking at around £1500 for an entry level 1080p system, then monitor and peripherals on top of that. Prices are crazy high still.

Also would a JVC TV work instead of a monitor or does it need to be a specific monitor spec?

Here's what I'd consider the cheapest gaming system I'd consider to be worth buying. I wouldn't advocate it, as it's not going to offer the best value, and really you would be better off spending a bit more, especially on the graphics card. But it would work.

It would work as a display out, but you'd be limited to 60fps and likely get screen tearing as there's no variable refresh rate. It would be a poor experience.
