Just bought a pre-owned PCS gaming laptop (Model NH55DD), previous owner did a clean W11 install prior purchase.
Got it home, started the lengthy process of registering and updating the many windows updates, finally came to use it and there is no audio coming out of the 3.5mm jack socket, although when I plug in the headset a small window pops-up asking to select headphone or headset, so the port must be `live`.. There is also no audio coming out of the built in speakers.
The only time I get audio is when I pair up a set of bluetooth headphones.
Any ideas?
I've followed every walk-through I can find on the subject.. all the settings in Device Manager are showing with no faults, checked all drivers are up-to-date, installed Sound Blaster Cinema 6+ as that was advised on one forum.
Error message I get when trying to run audio is "We Can't find an audio playback device." whatever that means.
I feel its a driver clash between Win11, Realtek, Soundblaster.. no idea what to do next.
PCS wont help as I'm not the original owner, so anyone else got any ideas, other than a complete reinstall of W11, which I'm not convinced will work.
