No longer worried

I am worried that my £2400.00 PC will not arrive. DPD we’re due to deliver it yesterday. I stayed home. No one knocked or rang the bell just drove passed at some point and took a photo of my house. I couldn’t contact anyone without real effort which is always a bad sign. Spoke to someone who gave me a new slot for today. The package is apparently in the depot still. Looking at reviews and they are very alarming. So many complaints. 1 star reviews. Claims of stealing, losses, damage.

What next? I have a bad feeling that it won’t come today. So what happens when I don’t get the PC I paid for?

I was so pleased with how everything had gone up until this point but it is all for nothing if the final product doesn’t get delivered.

Good morning. This type of situation is invariably down to the quality of your local DPD service. My local guy is ace, when he delivered my PC Specialist system it was on time and the box had been well looked after. Unfortunately a lot of drivers aren’t so good and it’s very frustrating. If you haven’t already done so, it’d be worth downloading the DPD app as you’ll be able to track your delivery much more accurately.

Try not to be too worried, you as the customer are ultimately protected by the terms of your agreement with PCS. If you do have an unscrupulous DPD agent, PCS will claim back from them and you will get your system.

Keep us posted 🙂👍

Yes, as @AgentCooper says, PCS have a legal agreement with DPD to safely deliver your parcel to your specific address. If that's not met under their agreed terms, PCS will claim back the full amount from DPD under their own timeframe, but they'd just build you a replacement and ship it again.

If your local DPD guy is really bad and you're that concerned, then perhaps speak to PCS and maybe they could arrange something else.

But whatever happens, you'll get your pc.

Fingers crossed it arrives today. It's not uncommon for a first delivery window to be missed, the DPD van that passed may not have been related to your order

It arrived! Phew.

I attach a photo though of the inside. The part I have my finger on is loose. What is this part and is it meant to be loose?

I’m can’t upload the image. It is a white and black piece of metal that sits under the gpu

Yes that is it. It is attached on the left to the case then runs along underneath the gpu but does not make contact with it nor is it attached at the end. It has a piece that can be unscrewed and slides up and down.

You just need to fit it so it cradles the GPU sufficiently at the end

...and if you want even more fancy GPU anti-sag, then Corsair do one that can have LED panels (LC100 I think)...
