I have recently received an Ultranote VI which I have inserted a 1TB HDD as 2nd storage.

I have just noticed this morning that the keyboard backlight is not working, is this just a key I have yet do find or should I be worried?

The light is important, and the main reason I bought this model of laptop.

Any help would be appreciated, hopefully it will be a quick fix

Cheers,

Tim

UPDATE: I have taken all the screws out of the back, retightened them and rebooted, now the light is back on, I couln't find anything trapped

but hey ho!

It's a pity the left click on the pad barely works now, I think I'll have to reassemble again. Fingers crossed.

good luck getting help on this. i have the same issue.
Is it the touchpad you're having a problem with?
My pad works from the centre to the right side so I can use left click from the centre, but I would like to fix this... I think it may be the HDD I fitted, it may just be a little tight which seems to affect the pad. I might remove it just to see!
Good luck with yours, keep me updated if you find a cure.
Do you have any idea how to control the keyboard light?
TIA
Tim

It's the backlit keyboard. Someone on here told me to install the gaming center from the download page ... but there is no gaming center on the download page.

i'm also having the worst tiny possible sound you can image... like a throwback to PCs from the 90s.

I have the keyboard sorted now. I downloaded the Control Centre from my download page, "et voila"

To tell the truth, I've only had this a few days so it hasn't had much use and I haven't even heard the speakers yet. My last laptop was a refurbished HP 15" Pavilion 246sa so it was an old piece of kit but had good speakers. (Beats audio)

Yes, you’ll need control center and soundblaster installing.
