It's worth opening Device Manager, expanding the keyboard section, right-click on your keyboard and click update driver - allow Windows update to see whether there is a better driver. There is a keyboard driver (it's just a regular I/O device) but it's part of Windows and you never know, this might sort it.

You might also try uninstalling the keyboard (uninstall all of them if several appear) then click the Action menu item and 'scan for hardware changes' to reinstall the keyboard(s).

I'm not at all sure these suggestions will help but they're worth a try.

Ok!


So I ran some benchmarks. Nothing crashed at any point so that's great.


1. With Furmark, I saw CPU temps rising upto 96 on some cores and GPU temps were in high 80s sometimes but mosty low 80s or lower.
2. Got https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/46990357 with firestrike


Btw, my windows key started working automatically today morning, guess it had something to do with some stale drivers somewhere.

Played a couple of hours of Apex continuously and GPU temps seem <82 and CPU temps <90 for the most part.

Furmark is like the most intensive torture test you can do, it literally runs it over what it would ever normally perform at, so very high temps is to be expected.

The in game temps look really healthy and that's important.

I'm glad the windows key is now working, did seem a bit odd... probably some stray windows update or something that was delayed in applying.

Firestrike score looks good!

I was able to get the Gaming center software after speaking to PCS, but each time I set my keyboard backlight settings, they seem to work only until I shutdown and seem to reset after that.

Does anyone know why that would be the case ?

where did you get the gaming center? it's location seems to be top secret :)

i found some 3rd party app online - but it only has 2 options: On or Off; and it resets after each reboot. so you manually have to turn it on again.

quite poor service from pcspecialists in this regard; considering how many people seem to be having difficulties with this.
