Novice very great-full for laptop advice. I Have looked a the 17'Defiance and chosen parts more or less top of my budget

Hello fellow computer enthusiasts, would love to know if anyone would be willing to take a quick look at the machine listed below. I thought It might be a good idea to list whats important to me and what I would use it for.

So, General home use with casual gaming. I'm looking to spend around 1300 on this machine and could possibly raise it a tiny bit but I'm already stretching it as it is.
One big thing for me is G-Sync or such for the display thats a huge deal for me and would love to keep onto that. The real reason I am asking here is I have seen posts complaining the defiance CPU is reaching 97 degree's on high to medium loads seams a bit hot and not a good sign for longevity. People have already go on to explain the possibilities of under clocking and re pasting the components . So I wanted to know have I chosen rubbishy a configuration that would just slowly melt ?

would it be worth having one 1tb hard drive rather than two 500gb? and how much gaming are you planning on doing.. if its alot i would recommend a 2tb as games such as Dead Red Redemption are easily over 112gb

Damn games getting huge these days!! The only reason I choose 2 500gb over 1tb was in case it broke. I thought putting all my eggs in one basket was higher risk?

Lol i did exactly the same thing when i ordered mine.. i chose 2x1tb and 1x240 because i was paranoid it was going to break and i wanted my stuff to be safe.. the best thing to do.. is to back stuff up on clouds or on hard drives and get one hard drive that can accommodate all your games etc.. thats what they told me.. i ended up ordering 1x2tb. There are lots of people who can tell you about the rest of the build.. i am not clever enough to know about those.. just hard drives and gaming!

Well maybe it would be better long run. Was it people from this forum or the pcspecialist guys who suggested the one over two ?
