The most transparent and honest any Nvidia supplier can be right now is that they don't know and there is no ETA. Winter 2020 would be a fair assessment.

Customers won't accept that though and will always be drawn to the lowest ETA, regardless of how fraught with "if" that ETA is.

Im starting to think that ordering the ROG card was a mistake, since not only has it come in yet, but its likely in even less supply than the others. Interested to know how many are waiting on this specific card from PCS alone.

Didnt switch to ROG for this specific reason.
I thought id have more chances with the luck-edition as there are many manufacturers...
But what do i know ? 🤷🏻‍♂️

It would be great information to have but a bit fruitless at the end of the day as all you would know is how many GPUs PCS require to satisfy all the open orders, you wouldn't know when yours was being allocated.

The validity of the card is up for debate. If you want the ROG there is no real choice though.

Just remember that the forum members are very much the minority of the PCS customer base. This forum is the very tip of a very large iceberg. Most customers don't come anywhere near the forum and likely don't even consider its existence.

Most of the people not complaining and have more less accepted 'it is what it is' are in the age range of 35+.
These people would of had dial up Internet (if they even had access to it). Posted letters, used cartridges in their consoles, Walkman, VCR, analogue etc etc.

Not trying to make a point but it would be just interesting to see.

There would be no real way of knowing without a full consensus. It's massively skewed with biases regardless of what goal post is fixed.

People under 35 are more likely to join a forum and ask for assistance for example.

True but I'm just guessing the that the people who have accepted it have been through a period where things didn't happen at a click of your finger.

But it s frustrating that nvidia released a gpu without having any stock (few thousands worldwide is not enough).
So i guess people are okay to wait if they re prepared to wait.
But it s hard to make people ok to wait for something they shouldnt have to wait for.( my point of view, you dont have to agree, just dont insult me)

It keeps them on the radar and has your psyche believing that because it's so hard to get it's a must have. It works though. My guess is that the point that Crizzy G is alluding to is older heads are more resilient to such promises as we've seen it all before.

Seems to me like you're implying malice which is what I'm disagreeing with. I don't think PCS intentionally misinformed anyone, they are just as in the dark as anyone else. As has been mentioned in this thread several times and on the forums many more, these emails are automated and linked to the stock system.

As soon as it was apparent PCS were not going to get any of the cards in stock they rectified that and updated the affected customers.

Ha, I'm certainly not implying malice on the part of PCS. The automated emails telling me that I should ignore other automated emails and, referring to a queue which they could not tell me my position in caused me to lose faith in anything they were telling me - and at that point I decided to withdraw my custom.

I hope your build comes through asap, who knows you may get my position in the queue!

Just wondering has there been any updates or leaks whe the 3080ti will be released?

Not sure if its woth just opting for a lower tier card for the time being if Nvidia are saying they will be short on supply till 2021and then upgrading when the ti comes out.
