NVIDIA GEFORCE vs ASUS ROG STRIX cards

Hey all,

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the cheaper RTX cards and the Asus ones that PCS use? Are the cheap ones just basic models straight from the NVIDIA? And is there much of a performance difference?

Thanks for the reply, it doesn't really sound like there is all that much reason to look at the ASUS cards then, especially when I'm trying to keep costs down.

The Asus cards are literally just a branded cost increase, the performance gain is barely anything. With how effective nvidia boost (automatic gpu overclocking) is these days, almost all cards perform the same no mattter if they're overclocked or not.

Thank you Spydertracks, looks like I shall definitely avoid them then! I can get a 2080S for pretty much the same price as the ASUS 2070S
