Octane vi issues

So on the 4th of July I received a next day gaming laptop

A Octane vi 15 inch model with a i7 9700k a rtx 2070
10 days after I received it the screen started flickering so I sent it in for a RMA to have it fixed took 6 days to get it back.
Then 5 hours after I got it back it started flickering again so now it’s on it’s way back for another RMA this time looking for a refund
Am just curious was it because it was a next day system not a custom built one that’s the reason?
I believe the first time it was fixed it was a problem with a cable connection from the motherboard to the display.
But just 5 hours after I just got it back really? Am just looking for some input on the matter
And If I do get refunded is it better going for a custom built gaming laptop? :}

The cable/connection may have been dislodged again in transit back to you.
I can see it being due to it being a pre-built pc.

But if it was dislodged why would of it took 5 hours to start flickering instead of it being immediately
What are the CPU and GPU temperatures? Check both before it flickers and when it's started flickering. Do you see any difference?

It could be overheating of a flaky CPU/GPU, it could be a flaky cable that starts to lose connectivity when it gets hot, it could be a flaky connector that starts to fail when it gets hot, it could even be a capacitor on the board that's flaky when it gets hot. There are a ton of things that could be the cause, but I think you're right not to accept it.

Well the laptop should arrive at PCS today hopefully I get a refund and maybe look at a custom laptop instead of a next day system laptop
