Hey all first time poster and fairy noob to this so go easy on me guys🙂
I've been wanting to return to the world of PCing( 20 Years ago I was a big enthusiast building desktops for friends and family) for a while now so I decided to take the plunge and buy. After a bit of research I opted for PCS and because of my situation at home I decided for a laptop but a performance gaming laptop as I have no space for a desktop and liked the idea of gaming anywhere in my home (and to escape a house full of women🤫). Anyway after much research and configuration changes I opted for the Octane VI i9-9900K RTX 2080..very pleased and excited with my choice I hit buy sat back and looked forward to some great gaming and getting sucked back into the computer scene. But had the 'buy in haste repent in leisure' moment a few days later especially after reading the posts in this forum for my specification. Thermals, cooling and noise are the main issues.
But it's bought now and arriving tomorrow 😁😁😁 so I'm now of the mindset of sod it let's get on with it get it set up as best as I can (with the help of the fine people in this forum) I've realised I'd better post my specs...

So after reading many Many posts in the forums it very clear well I have to deal with Temps first and foremost and in a weird way I'm looking forward to tackling this.. So what I'm asking from you guys is what I'll need to get... Utilities and benchmark software and in what order I need to do things and ideal Temps I should be aiming for.. Undervolting seems a must and I've already got grizzly Kryonaut paste to repaste the CPU and GPU and would this void the warranty?? and any other help and tips I would need. A huge thanks in advance to all who can help.
Regards and stay safe.
