On/Off button broken :( interesting ideas wanted!

Had my PC build from pc-specialists about a year now and the button driver has broken!

it works but pushes a lot more to one side and is very upsetting as I paid around 5k in total for the pc.

Either way! I am looking for some interesting suggestions or guides of turning the PC off and on. I have seen in the past someone use a switch with a key.

anyone got any good ideas or guides they can share with me?

Contact case manufacturer and see if they can supply a replacement button that you can replace yourself?

Here is a novel idea. Contact PCS and get it repaired for free. You paid thousands of pounds for it why would you botch it yourself?

I had assumed it would be considered wear and tear. But I guess a power button should last longer than a year…

Even if it could be classed as wear and tear it would still be covered under the standard warranty if its still within the first year.

7.1	In addition to any warranty that you may have purchased with your Goods, all Goods that we supply are warranted free from defects for 12 months from the date of supply. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Absolutely agree with @barlew on this, your warranty will quite possibly cover things like this, in the first instance, I'd definitely raise with PCS, if they're unable to help, then I'd approach the manufacturer, on a lot of semi decent cases these days, manufacturers have stocks of replacement parts, sometimes even available for purchase on their websites.

Either way though, do it officially rather than bodging something together.
