Good evening guys, I have 3 fans at the front of my case and the middle fan makes a lot of noise when I turn on the machine. Lately it has been making a loud grinding noise after 3/4 seconds of turning it on. I then shut off the computer and turn it on again and the noise won't come back throughout the 8-10 hours while I work. Then the next day the same story again.
I first suspected a loose wire touching the fan but when closely inspecting from outside I didn't see any sign of it, and also the fact that it takes a couple of seconds to make the loud noise + a restart solves the issue makes me less doubtful its to do with the fan getting in contact with anything. The PC is well protected securely placed inside under a desk, quite a bit of dust there though as I haven't opened the case to clean the insides since I bought the PC from here (3 years ago), perhaps its the dust.
I was wondering if anyone here has had similar experience from their machine?
Thanks in advance
