Optumus XI upgrade?

hi just recently purchased the optimus xi, has the i710750 and rtx2060, my question is, would it be possible to upgrade to a rtx2070 at some point or is this not possible? Thanks

No, you can't upgrade the GPU in laptops as it's a part of the motherboard.

Insanity. You'll get peanuts for it to the point that you'll near enough just have to buy a new laptop. So eifht now you're buying a laptop to use for one year. Just send it back and buy a laptop with a 2070 in it.

Not to worry. I may aswel keep it then. Bought initially to use for djing and to play a few of the current games, if it gets to the point where it cant keep up I will buy a new desktop pc. Also xbox series x out soon so that will be good for the games side lol. Thanks for the replies appreciate it. For the spec I have with this laptop it seems a really good deal as similar specs from more mainstream brands are a few £100 more so all good cheers

I'm thinking the 2060 should be pretty good for a while yet anyway shouldn't it? I suppose it would depend on what settings you wanted to play the games on and whether you wanted stuff like vr.

I think it will play vr at the min, and should be good for 1080p for a while at least til the end of the year or mid next year with the newer games that come out. Mainly bought it for rekordbox and making music + listing loads of car parts on ebay for work but its good that it can play warzone and battlefield 5 on max settings over 60fp 1080p so all good. Next step think I'm going to build a beast of a desktop pc 👐

I know mate, if I didnt need this for portability I would have gone for a gaming pc this time around. New xbox when it comes out will do for a bit l cheers
