Hi

I am looking to upgrade my gaming PC to play Assetta Corsa on the single monitor below. Can someone advise on a good spec? I have around £1200 to spend.

1. WHat have you got at the minute?

2. Are you wanting just Assetto Corsa or are you looking to run Assetto Corsa Competizione? The latter needs a bit more computer grunt.

ACC is a lot harder on the graphics and memory. Even big graphics cards can see some frame rate drops as Kunos are still working on optimizing the graphics further.

Easiest way to describe things: I can run AC on my laptop running a GeForce MX150 GPU.

ACC on the laptop: eeeeeeeeek.

@stevecurrie219 we can advise on a PCS build (where it gets built, tested and dispatched to you) but cannot advise on a self-build - which were you looking for?

£1200 wouldn't get you anywhere near what you'd need to power that screen, not even close. You'd need a minimum of a 2080ti to power that thing and would set you back between £2200 and £2500

That's an £800 screen. You would need to spend the same on the GPU IMO, never mind the supporting parts.

Not feasible IMO, unless you currently have a high end PC. Is it a PCS system?

It's not 4k though. 3840 x 1080 pixels by the sounds of it. I think? So only a few more than a standard 1440p panel so a 2070 super or 2080super would be OK wouldn't they?

It’s 1440p ultrawide which is 2x 1440p on the horizontal.

Every link I click on says it is 3840x1080 so only 1080p ultrawide...

Where are you seeing 1440p ultra wide?

ah, yeah, you're right, I was looking at the google summary which lists it as 1440p

That would still take some juice though at 144Hz, I'd say 2080 Super minimum
