Sorry to bump this thread, but I'm now faced with a slight issue. Totally happy with the corrections above, but now PCS are saying that they're out of the h150i Capellix coolers, with no ETA on when they will come back in stock. Annoying since I placed the order over a week ago and spent the last week 'processing', but it is what it is.

So I'm faced with a decision of either waiting for an indeterminate amount of time for them to come back in stock, or I can try and choose an alternative. Does anyone know which of the available coolers might be suitable for a Ryzen 7000 CPU? I'm looking to undervolt/power-limit/thermal-limit the CPU anyway (as Optimum Tech demonstrated) to try and cut down on the energy usage and temperatures, but I don't want to cost-cut on the cooler too much if that's going to risk being bad for the CPU.

Any ideas? Is it better just to hang tight and wait for the capellix?

There's the option for the H150i Elite at the bottom of the selection which is the capellix with a small LCD display window. Bit gimmicky but same cooling power

Or if you're sticking on the 7600x, you can happily drop down to the H115i cappellix.

Thanks, I did consider the H115i instead (which was my original plan) so maybe that's for the best.

I was looking up the specs just now and it seems like the Elite versions don't have as high fan speed or airflow. But I'm not sure how big of a deal that is and whether or not it's better to have the smaller h115i capellix or the larger but less powerful h150i elite. The h115i seems to have even higher airflow than h150i capellix and with lower fan speed, so I don't really know what's best to look for in a cooler, to be honest.

It's actually not that far off the H150, it's 2 x 140mm rather than 3 x 120, so in surface area, they're actually not that different, so cooling is fairly similar. But for that CPU, either of them would be more than enough.

For sheer performance I would go with the H115i personally.

The H150i Elite really is a flashy thing to show off in the case. They're great, but a LOT of money is going into that screen and the software to control it.

Welp, embarrassed to be back yet again but now PCS is telling me that the Gigabyte X gaming motherboard is no longer in stock either, also with no ETA for restocking. Kind of annoying once again, I hope I'm not going to have to slowly go through each component as they successively run out of stock because of these delays haha. In any case, now I have to find an alternative.

I assume that there's not much difference between this and Asus Prime X670-P wifi in terms of VRMs etc. The only major differences I can see are some ports and maybe the PCIE slots but I don't think they are too big of a concern.

I would have suggested to avoid the gigabytes in the first place anyway, they're far less polished than Asus lineup, buggy is probably a better word

Personally, I'd pay the extra and go with the tuf, but if you really don't want to push that far then the Prime will be fine.

The TUF seems to be on pre-order so I think I'll go with the Prime if it's not going to be too big of an issue.

Thanks again Spyder. Hopefully, this is the last time I'll have to come back for advice on this whole thing!
