PC constantly woken up by USB controller

Morning all.

I have recently bought a Defiance 15" laptop (spec below), and have been using it for a week now.
Whenever I shut the lid, or tell it to sleep, the battery is dead when i come to use it again.
Checking the event viewer, it keeps being woken up by the USB controller.

Sleep Time: ‎2020‎-‎06‎-‎30T00:26:48.826221000Z
Wake Time: ‎2020‎-‎06‎-‎30T00:27:03.485339300Z

Wake Source: Device -Intel(R) USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 (Microsoft)

Has anyone else come across this device waking their PC up and have a solution?
That device is also set to not wake from sleep, and the power profile is set to ignore wake events, yet it persists.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Sods law, I find a potential solution immediately after posting...

It appears it may be triggered by the mouse movement (I have a USB wireless mouse connected). I'll test this and ensure I switch it off overnight.

Still open to any further ideas though!

Sounds like you've found it. If not, unplug all devices leaving only one each time until you find the culprit.

Another wrinkle I've just discovered for the VR users is that the Oculus software (I think) switches the PC to high performance mode which turns off all auto sleep options!
(apologies for the forum's link munging, they do still work)
It deletes the profile afterwards so I've created one with the settings I want to see if it helps again.

Oops. That's one for the Oculus forums then.
