Oh got my code through and its got Russian writing all over the Label, perhaps because its a Russian Retail Version.

Anyway i'll chuck it into Steam when i get home and see what it says.

Got the same with borderlands 2, some retailers have a disclaimer when offering those codes.

Got my Batman AO working from direct2play.com

Didn't have any region specifics during download

Sorry, didn't mean to say it will. What I was trying to say is that many retailers indicated that it works right now but they don't guarantee it may work in the future if future restrictions are introduced which puts me off from buying it from direct2play. Got it from GMG for £22 but if it works and it is around £14 it is pretty good deal.

Steam Halloween sale definitely worth checking out. Standout for me so far is Sleeping Dogs for £3.99. I got about 20 hours out of that game and thought it was fantastic, well worth it for less than a fiver.

You sir, need to play Alan Wake.

Took your advice, thanks very much for recomending that. I finally got to play it last night and only after playing through the first episode (and wheni say epsiode i mean EPISODE, this game is actually divided up liek epsisodes in a TV series with end credits and "previously on..." cinematics, it's awesome)i am absolutely hooked, i really got sucked into the plot and storyline and completely lost track of time. My only niggle is the camera position, it's way too far to one side of the character, it's not even over the shoulder it's sort two meters away over the shoulder, that took some getting used to.

Glad you like it, it's one of those games that I actually completed (which is rare for me) and really enjoyed. You do get used to the 'horror' aspect of it so try and savour it as long as possible i.e. pitch black room, headphones on loud, etc if you can but if not it's still a very good game. Certainly a brain-meddler.
