Have you played control yet? What’s it like?
Havent played it yet - just got it whilst on sale as heard / read some good reviews about it. Been getting stuck into Alien LOL.

Will try to get around over weekend to giving it a go, but so many things still to play - AC Valhalla being one of them .

Well... I’m going to go out on a limb and say that (for my tastes) last year’s free games were overall a touch better than this year.

This year:

What do you lot reckon?

I'm up to the fifth mission I think it is - struggling running around the psych ward avoiding the Alien whilst getting the ID tag - I got it, but then got caught on last attempt. Also playing a game called Satisfactory but my OCD really gets me on this game LOL - as I rebuild and rebuild just to get things straight LOL :D

Still playing Valhalla, lots of head n tossing today.

Might have to get Season Pass.

still have my £10 Epic voucher to use, tempted by RDR2 or Total War Troy or even Star Wars.

Only thing putting me off RDR2 is that it’s by Rockstar and find their games tedious

I think I'm going to lash out on Star Wars Fallen Order, does look like a fun game which I've been putting off until the price reduced.

It's a bit Dark Souls-lite, by all accounts. Reasonably challenging, respawning enemies after you've saved, sprawling level design with shortcuts. If you and @Gavras do end up picking it up, let me know if it's worth a go.

I'm more intrigued by Star War Squadrons, it's clearly more of a budget game but looks hella fun.

As I said in a post the other week, that game has well and truly outstayed its welcome with me. The longer I play it, the more faults I'm finding. And it is LOOOOOONG.

Your best bet is to look for any free one month trials on Origin EA Play Pro or just pay £3.99 for EA Play and try out the game for up to 10 hours play (EA Play) or however long you want (EA Play Pro) - you then also get a further 10% off prices as well I believe. Especially if there are a couple of games you are considering.

See the year in as I intend to continue, being scared stiff!
Excellent plan. I'm at work until ten tonight and I reckon the good lady won't make it past half eleven before falling asleep so I need to plot my game of choice for the evening.

I have a large amount of quality beer and whisky at home so I'm thinking that a game which requires lightning fast reflexes may not be the right decision...

I recently picked up 'Virginia' and 'The Return of the Obra Dinn' on Steam so might delve into one of those.
