Vampire Survivors is incredibly addictive.

You see it often in various media where someone either comes up with a new idea, or uses an existing idea far more effectively than was previously done and that inspiring all kinds of clones. I'm thinking of examples like The Matrix using bullet time inspiring a bunch of films to include it as well as Max Payne, which then sparked loads of video games also copying bullet time as a mechanic.

Vampire Survivors has inspired a huge number of clones. Me and SteveyG mentioned them over in the What I'm playing thread. I linked to a few of the better clones that I've played.

The Steam Winter Sale is on about 5 minutes after the Autumn sale ended and there's a lot of pretty decent deals out there. One of the most surprising discounts I've seen is FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is 30% off a month before Steam's release. With there being some pre-order bonuses and the discount also covering the Digital Deluxe pre-order, it may well be worth a look. The discounted Digital Deluxe edition is cheaper than the undiscounted base game, so that's getting into no brainer territory if you were already planning to buy the game on release.

I've not long finished Dredge. Some of the rarer fish are a bugger to find if you're a completionist, but the whole vibe and story of that game was fantastic. I didn't actually mind grinding to get those last few fish!
