Ill certainly do that next time I play, it does seem a waste of all that screen not to use it, haha.

I can't wait to grab a new card, unless they're out of stock for 6 months lol. Wish we had more info on the next gen cards, I was very tempted to just grab a 7900xtx but I don't wanna do that and the next gens just blow it out the water for same price.
I would definitely wait, it's not long at all now. You'll be fine on the 2080ti for a couple of months, especially with Christmas in the middle.

AMD have already announced they're not going to be competing at the high end, so likely will be under 5080 performance as their highest spec. But I think we can look forward to even better driver stability this generation from AMD, and I think by the leaks so far, the reported 5090 may actually be a 5000 series Titan card I'm guessing and then the 5090 may be using the same die but slightly cut down to bridge the gap between that and the 4080, I just can't see the 5090 being literally double the hardware specs of the 5080, just doesn't make sense to me unless they are making the 5090 the new Titan nomenclature and intentionally putting it out of reach financially for gamers. There's no way that card is going to be under £2k with those specs.

Yeah ill wait, I doubt I'd be going for a 5090 anyways, more than likely just try and get the 70/80 as they'll still be better than the xtx or the 4080super I would imagine. Surely not too much difference in price from the 4070/80?

Edit: The wife is now going money crazy and wants a new screen to go with her shiny new toy, so if you could suggest a decent 4k / 1440p screen that would be very helpful.:ROFLMAO:

Nothing crazy, maybe £400 max if possible for a decent one around 32" too, I'm terrible with screens I don't know what is good/bad.

Wife also wants the same case but in White, I can't find it in the list of cases, I guess I'll have to buy that seperate and send that in? She likes to make everything difficult, you see.

There’s 6 ‘white’ versions to choose from…3 variations white, white & alu, white & bamboo) in each of the non-RGB and RGB models. The RGB model includes 3xRX120 iCUE Link fans & controller kit (which is over £100 if bought elsewhere, or £55 if bought from PCS).

Yeah, I'll have to buy that seperate and send it in, though, right? I can't find the 6500X in white on the PCS website.
Unless I'm blind.

Correct, can’t even see it in the ‘Luna’ (white configurator)…which you might want to use for a white build.

OK before I order

Is there any benefit to swapping the SSD's for Samsung or Corsair ones? Just had a friend tell me I should upgrade the SSD's

From

1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
2TB SOLIDIGM P41+ GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 4125MB/sR, 3325MB/sW)

To

1st M.2 SSD Drive
1TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO M.2, PCIe 4.0 NVMe (up to 7450MB/R, 6900MB/W)
2nd M.2 SSD Drive
2TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO M.2, PCIe 4.0 NVMe (up to 7450MB/R, 6900MB/W)

I'd stick with the drives you've got, the latest Samsung drives are not good, and are prone to failure
This ^^^

As you'll see almost zero difference in loading games from a gen 4 SSD over a gen 3, we tend to recommend saving money and using gen3 ones for games storage (which usually means you can get a larger drive for the same money as a smaller faster one).

If your budget has increased and you want to splash the cash for extra secondary storage (rather than speed), then the 4TB Corsair MP600 is well rated, or if you wanted a faster, larger primary drive just take it up to the 1TB version (but ask yourself what you're going to do with that extra space on the primary drive).

I'm pretty happy with these and we'll grab a 50 series card when they drop. There's no real gain is there like swapping the TUF GAMING X870 for the CROSSHAIR? I don't plan to OC or anything.

Not in you use case - it's just extra expense for those with money to burn (or those who can claim it back on their influence tax breaks).

Hey guys, just went to purchase them both and the CORSAIR ICUE LINK H150i RGB HIGH PERFORMANCE CPU COOLER is no longer available for the black one, but the TITAN 360 RX is there instead, is this still a decent replacement? Cheers

It’s solid, worthy upgrade, has quite an improved pump system.
This link only marks it down for price but their price was $200 which is significantly higher than PCS price.

Plus it’s the same modular cap which you can upgrade to the LCD module later on should you wish to

You're all probably sick of me by now, can anyone show me a decent white monitor?

She's getting either the 5090 or the 5080 when it drops so whatever you think is decent resolution wise. I'm guessing 4k with that kind of card.

Looking at around £600 budget. I could push it a little bit if it's slightly more expensive.

The Samsung G range are often white and decent monitors.

£600 is a push though, you may find a deal in Black Friday sales

This is the superwide

This is the 4k

Cheers bud ill probably get the 49", might as well.

Go big or go home right?😂
It's a great monitor. I have the first version of it which was a standard VA panel, but I'm obsessed with it, for productivity / gaming / staring at while it's off, I get such a huge kick out of it, I've said it a few times, Superwide is the closest monitor experience I've had to VR, it sucks your mind into the screen, it's awesome!
