PC needs restarting 3 times before it will display anything.

Hello, I recently bought a new desktop after receiving some lovely help from people on the forums here. So far it has mostly been fantastic but something odd with it is every time I have had to turn it off, I have to restart it like 3 or so times before the monitor will display anything. I have tried just leaving it for an hour or so after restarting just once in case it was an update or something, but it never displays anything. Same for the second restart but then usually on the third or so try, it displays fine.

I don't even know how to start troubleshooting this because it's practically my first desktop.

Could you copy and paste the full specs from the order page?

Sorry, I thought I have?
That's a link to a config (which may break as components go out of stock)...not the link to your actual build from your account page...which can be accessed like this...

So it's a realy well designed system, no issues from a hardware perspective.

Have you applied all optional updates yet? That's the first thing you need to do on any new system, that and normal windows updates

Then sorry to ask, but how are you shutting down the PC?

The other consideration, is fast boot and hibernation (which are set by default) cause no ends of issues, and are irrelevant anyway on modern systems, that was designed for systems still on the old HDDs that ran slow as anything.

Once you've got the above addressed, I would disable hibernation by opening powershell as admin and type: powercfg.exe /hibernate off

And also, just to confirm, what anti virus are you using?

I believe I've done any updates it has asked about it.

When initially shutting it down, I've been selecting shut down from the power options on the start menu. But because I have no display after turning it back on, the further shut downs I have to do by holding the physical button.

Disabled fast start up and hibernation now.

Norton Security Ultra for antivirus.

I need to head out for tonight, so will test if this has changed anything tomorrow morning. Thank you for your help so far.

It won't ask, you have to apply them

Norton Security Ultra for antivirus.
As @Scoped Badger very rightly says, this needs to be properly removed with the official uninstaller (can't be done as normal via windows menu)

Oh okay, well had to restart after uninstalling, and it seemed to restart fine straight away this time. So knock on wood, one or more of the suggested changes seem to have helped, so thank you all.
