I have not done this for long i did a lot of research tho before purchasing so i hope this has paid off. I wanted something to start me off as a base i have no wish to upgrade within say the next 5 years. This PC will be mostly as a workstation as i am self teaching graphic design at home and maybe some gaming on the side. This was within my budget i did change the order to get get a 2TB hardrive for the second slot because i missed it the first time. Thank you for reviewing my specs probably should of done this before completing purchase but i am happy i believe and cant wait been in pre-production for 18 days now. quick note this will be connected to my 27' dell monitor (dell s2719dgf)

What did this come too and whats your maximum budget?

I believe that monitor is 1440 144hz.

You have selected an old processor and looking at one of the 3xxx would be better. Faster RAM (3200 probably). Primary storage you'd be wanting a nvme ssd from the m.2 section.

A better power supply would increase upgrade options down the line.

The 1660s isnt a great match for that monitor - probably need a 2070s

The next wifi card up is also a lot better.

All food for thought until you let us know the budget.

Thank you for the reply It came to roughly £1000 that was the top end of my budget i was looking at getting a better graphic card but i thought for a starter it would be fine. As for CPU i tried other options but most were out of stock i think. The PSU could of been better i agree on that but stocks are also limited and PCS recommended that one obvisously they dont take upgrade in consideration. Right now ive only got a Lenovo yoga 710 laptop for my graphic design. (currently learning blender) and thought this would be a improvement as the laptop struggles with rendering.

You can cancel your order if its not in building yet. I think you'd definatly better off with the new chips and RAM.

Usually @SpyderTracks or @Scott have made recommendations by now. May be worth holding out a bit longer for an expert opinion. (They are usually pretty sharp.

I would say @Dan79 recmendation is spot on and worthwhile cancelling your current pc (as it can’t be amended as it’s on the wrong platform) and reordering the suggested spec. It will last a lot longer as well as giving better performance.

Quick update for you guys i rang PCS up and got them to sort my order to the specs you posted and choose my own case and went for the GTX 2060 super a little treat for myself lol. They were super helpful aswell and ive just got to wait another 3 to 4 weeks long but will be worth it

I got the corsair spec-delta RGB mid tower gaming case

I wouldn't recommend that case at all. If you want the RGB look I think the lowest one that's recommended now would be the H500. After that its the Corsair 570X.

There aren't a great deal of low budget cases that would be recommended now.

You'll be blown away by the 570X. It's expensive, but it's absolutely stunning. Great bit of kit too.
