started about 2 months ago,pc just randomly restarts.spoke to support and they couldnt find a definitive reason but from checking event viewer all the restarts ive had are always at same time as a corsairLLaccess service error.i did notice the last 2 times it happened the RGB on the pump display went a darker colour than what it is usually.so it seems to me like an error with icue but ive no clue how to fix it.

Cool, just checking you had the AGESA 1.0.0.7c patch on your BIOS version which you do so that's fine.

And windows defender definitely the best AV on windows.

Have you updated the corsair firmware in iCue for all components?

Do you have Asus Armoury Crate installed?

The only icue updates i've done are when the program says update available and it restarts the program.i have armory crate installed but never use it.just an update, there restarts have been anywhere from a few days apart to once it was 3 weeks with no restarts, however tonight my pc has restarted twice in 30 mins.

Worth fully uninstalling Armoury Crate with the official uninstaller:

You may need to disable it in the BIOS too otherwise it automatically reinstalls on boot

Then we'll do some more tests.

So is armoury crate so bad it needs to be uninstalled? also i've never made changes to a bios before and also wondering if this is allowed without voiding my warranty?

BIOS has no effect on warranty unless you're overclocking (this is nothing to do with any overclocking).

Armoury Crate is pretty terrible, even though it's made by Asus themselves, it's known to conflict with iCue so you never want both installed at the same time.
