Thank you so much, is it possible to recommend me a 2.1 sound system if possible, if not I can wait till someone gets back to me. You been great help.

No problem, happy to help :D

Our good friend and digital overlord @SpyderTracks is probably the best person to ask about that. Let's wait and see what he thinks (y)

Hi I got a Edifier E235 RED Luna a 2.1 system on the way and it doesn't have a headphone jack. How would I plug headphones in? Would it go directly into the sound card?

Hi I am going with pcspecialist.

I like to buy a new gaming desktop, which will be strictly for gaming and web surfing. I will be playing some AAA games, such as resident evil (village, 7 and 2) Metro Exodus, Doom and some VR gaming such as Half-Life: Alyx. I will be mostly playing indie games mind for the most part and wont be streaming.

Can someone recommend me a build from PC specialist?

My budget is £2000-3000 for Desktop and £1100 for a large (one) screen which I don't think i want in 4k, 1080p I think should be fine. Is the g9 monitor still good?

Memory I would like 2TB, and 16 GB Ram, I wanted a RTX 3080 but prices are a bit high every where I go.

I would like ITX case, I need to have it small as I have limited space.

I would like it to be a little future proof as I need to keep it about 5 years.

Warm regards

Heya! Realistically, you won't get all the power you're after in an ITX from PCS. If you're after top end in an ITX the best route to go would be self build, due to configurator limitations we just wouldn't be able to get the cooling required for the CPU on the SFF configurator. If you're able to squeeze in a more normal sized tower, this should be a pretty great system that fits in the middle of your budget.

For monitors, there's totally the budget for the beastly Samsung G9. If you're not a fan of that the 3080 is really a 4K 144hz card so that's where I'd be looking. Although, with the VR use case, you could argue that that's the reason you've gone 3080 then go 1440p 144hz which is a fantastic sweetspot for gaming right now.

A build for £4K with a screen in the budget? Or a build for a 4K screen? The build above would really be both.

The PC for £2,500 would give you £1,500 to spend on a screen, that'd get you the above mentioned G9 or you could get a 4K 144hz monitor and have about £700 left. If you wanted to fill that budget, you could go for the 5900X instead of the 5800X (although for gaming, it currently wouldn't give you any noticable gain in performance) and the 3080TI (which is pretty bad value in comparison to the 3080 but does fill the budget).

The 3080 is a 4K card, so the build above is what you'd go for if you wanted to game in 4K

I have a m32u coming which is 4k 144hz 32" for £700, many other 4k 144 hz monitors avaliable in other different sizes all under £1.3.

People wanting bigger can even get a oled with gysnc 4k.

I would like to emulate games, anything it can support currently and will like to game at 4k. Like a screen suggestion too and desktop price range £2000-3000. Need a really good sized TB SSD Drive too please.

I need the Desktop case to be as small as possible, mid range size what not.

Im going not only steam gaming route but the Emulation route too. Emulation any console game supported as I want to give my old games new life. I was thinking £2000-3000 with a monitor and a SSD drive. is this a good range?

Currently a monitor will cost a minimum of around £600 for 4k, or around £900 for Superwide.

Regarding the PC, there's a whole list of new hardware being put on pre order on thursday which will greatly improve performance at the same cost, so wait until then.

But yes, £3000 should be a good range for 4k 144Hz including monitor.
