PCSPECIALIST Vortex G70 Gaming PC noisy CPU fan after 1 year??

Hi there,

I brought:

PCSPECIALIST Vortex G70 Gaming PC - Intel® Core™ i7, RTX 3070, 1 TB SSD​

From currys/pcworld i think offhand in sept/oct last year, the CPU fan has started making a noise, usualy when the pc is idle. Is this still covered under warrenty? if not can a case fan be swapped for the cpu fan or what type/size do i need to replace and is it 'hotswappable' without removing heatsync etc??

The forums are mainly manned by customers that have hung around to help out - with just the odd visit from a PCS employee.

You will be better contacting them directly on the number on the contact us page and speaking to someone - you should really have registered your product at the time but you should still be able to do that - they can then let you know about the warranty too.

Quick things to check is that its not catching on something or full of dust give it a blow/clean

checked for dust etc but really clean inside ran hover to be sure.. not catching but does sound like its a bearing or something. will have to try to call i guess. any ideas on fan size/pin type? if i just want to replace myself?

Cooler fans are not the same as other fans, they're usually bespoke to the cooler with their mounting solution and other things.

I would call PCS and they could ship you a replacement for you to fit next day delivery.
