Plastic covering on HDMI port

Hi, I recently bought a PC from PC specialist and was looking to hook up a second monitor, however I have realised that there is a plastic covering over the other hdmi port that is nearer to the USBs. I was wondering whether it is ok to remove it and why was it covered in the first place. Can any help?

If you have a graphics card, then the ports up by the USB ports (near the top of the back of the PC) will not be useable as they'll be the motherboard ports, if you do have a graphics card just use the extra ports on there, if your graphics card doesn't have any extra HDMI ports you can use a convertor from whatever it does have to HDMI (possibly DP)

But yeah as suggested by Ubuysa it'd be useful to see your spec then we can see what you actually have in your machine.

If you're stuck as to which ports you can use feel free to take a picture of the back of your PC and we can circle the ports for you :)
