I'm looking to upgrade from my current gaming laptop to a good gaming pc (budget is around 2,000 euro including keyboard and monitor -but slightly over is fine). The thing is, the games I play aren't hugely intensive on their own; I mainly play the likes of minecraft, rimworld, and skyrim. But I like to load these up with hundreds of mods and I've found that they are poorly optimized games in general. My current laptop has struggled with lag and memory issues with these specific games; I have an Intel i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30 GHz, 8GB memory, and GTX 1060 GPU. The exact build is the ASUS TUF Gaming FX504, if that's any help.
I think these new specs should be more than enough of an upgrade from what I have, but is there anything specific I need to be focusing on for the kind of games I want to play? (for example, I'm told rimworld doesn't utilize multiple cores whether you have them or not, so a 20-core processor might not be much help...). Also, if anyone spots any other glaring issues with my build I'd appreciate it, I'm no pc expert. The monitor listed is the one I'm intending to use with it.
