I've been gaming exclusively on console over the last few years, but I miss my old PC so much that I've decided to go back to the light side. Unfortunately, my knowledge is a bit rusty when it comes to PCs, could someone a bit more experienced share their thoughts on the build below?

Current advice seems to be to ditch the Intel's and go for AMD, sure one of the experts will be along soon

Hi @Valysse, @Grumpywurzel is correct, AMD is totally dominating at the moment in terms of price/performance.

I'm assuming you'll be gaming on this rig? What is your budget (around £1700??) and what monitor will you be using?

Just as a note, in general and if in the UK I'd strongly advise anyone to change the warranty to at least Silver for piece of mind if nothing else.

Hi! Thank you for replies, I will be using it for gaming and streaming, budget is around £1700 excluding the peripherals.
What AMD units would provide similar performance? I've always been an intel person, haha!

Edit @STREAKY360 I've got 1440p 144hz monitor at hand.

PS. If someone could look at my choice of storage drive I would greatly appreciate it, last time I've owned a PC, SSDs were at an infancy! 😅

Those Samsung drives are awesome, have one in my PC and it is lightning fast. Have you got an external back up drive available? Otherwise i would say adding a secondary drive (doesn't have to be SSD if you want to keep the price down) might be an idea.
