When gaming (WoW classic), the majority of the time I use an external monitor and I achieve 1440p, 144fps+, max graphics settings, consistently. However, when using just the laptop, with the same settings in nvidia control panel, same ingame settings, also set to use nvidia graphics high performance for the game, it tanks to 30fps consistently. Anyone know why this could be?

That's the issue! The times I tested just the laptop it was unplugged and when playing with monitor was always plugged in. I can see the sudden FPS changes when I remove the power, now I feel stupid, thank you
