Will take it to £2137.

do you still need the Strix with the R5?
I believe so. Also, the extreme paste isn’t needed with the H115, as this comes with quality paste pre-applied.

Changing the graphics card from the 3060ti to the RX 6800 adds more than £200 to the cost. Is this really needed? The AX200 is the best WiFi card. I would wait for one of the real experts to be available to make sure you get the best bang for your buck @AgentCooper @Scott @SpyderTracks @Nursemorph. Some of those responding seem to delight in spending other people’s money.

Depending on the gaming requirements, you can get two screens for £300 around this time of year.

Please do tell where I can get 1440p 144hz with display port 1.4 within that budget and two as well.

Come on then 2 x 1440p 27” screens for £300

decent type though
Well personally i don’t game on dual monitor, i go for a 32” 1440p 144hz. But friends that do, they tend to have a 1440p and a 1080p (for discord etc) and with sales starting today, it’s really not a stretch.

i think maybe you should contribute more to what the OP is asking and giving him a build, rather than trying to pick fault, on others suggestions. Thanks.

Read the start of the thread And then rephrase that.

the OP has a budget of £2k

this includes potential purchase of 2 monitors,

at the beginning of the thread we sorted that.

Hence the comments about picking top end processors and getting two monitors for £300

i would even challenge you to get a 1440p and a 1080p for £300 sale or not.

it’s about getting a balanced build for the budget.

a decent 1400p 27” monitor suitable for gaming.

£2k budget and say 1 x 1440 p monitor is likely best option, then add 2nd later.

I’m sure the OP is more interested in their build for now, than the monitors. You can get a 1440p and 1080p in budget at the moment, then look to upgrade the 1080p to a 4k for example, when their budget expands.

As opposed to holding off, on something like spending an extra £50 on a cpu now and deciding that you wish you’d upgraded that to start with.

You chose a Ryzen 7 5800x, i chose a Ryzen 9 5900x, there really is not a dramatic price jump between them two, especially when you are looking at a £2300~ total spend.

i’m only suggesting, based off what i am looking at spending my money on.

Anyhow, rather than in fighting on someones build thread.

wait for the OP to come back with a build link and update to his budget.

they may have hard limits on the budget.

Thank you all for your comments, advise and way forward. I used to be full on with all this about 10 years ago but my life has got too busy and my priorities have changed. Having said that this forum is a fantastic source of help for people people like me that 'sort of know' but do need help in putting it as selected together.
I set my budget with the knowledge that the system i pick piece meal will work (after automated ordering system puts right my lack of knowledge) but it might not be the best for me and my usage. I always assume my end purchase will be higher than my actual budget, as I always spend on the accessories (display being one of them). I set my budget to try and scare myself into spending less. This is the same in all my purchases unfortunately and potentially does not help when people are trying to help me. This I apologise for.
So I will look through all the the information given by yourselves and remember to exclude my display costs (which I know could substantially extra) from the overall budget.
Thanks again guys and girls. 👍🏾👍🏾

Just quickly, I'd remove your order number from the top left of your post. It's private info and we wouldn't want it getting into the wrong hands!

So did it save you money to make those changes?
Take note on the arctic thermal paste, you have a corsair cooler, its got paste on already thats equal quality (if not better).
Scraping it off to replace with arctic thermal doesnt gain you anything, but does increase the chances of a bad paste job...

The preapplied paste is done so its unlikely youd need to worry about the paste job at all, and would save you £9 more.

Little confused by the partitions, How come you changed the case/upgraded the GPU to a 3070?
And the 5600X CPU, it was confirmed that its a better choice than the 3800X and is cheaper as well?

I'm not an expert but i notice that you have changed your motherboard to the ASUS® TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WiFi to include the WIFI and then have removed the AX200.

Question to the experts / advisers on this @sibun1 and @JUNI0R - does the motherboard also come with added in Bluetooth like the AX200 did or will he now have to consider a dongle?

Further question to OP - why are you splitting both M2 drives in half?

The board has Bluetoooth, and has AX200 too, found out a few days ago!
So its cheaper than a separate card if on a squeeze.

If I'm looking it right, I see the partitions are in place for both M.2 drives - I wouldn't recommend that. Is there a particular reason for this choice, @SColie?
