Problem turn on with battery

Hello, if you can help me please nice, I have a problem with a recently acquired laptop, it's a Optimus. The problem is that it does not turn on when I connect the battery, but when I plug in a power cord it starts up. If I eject a power cord, it stays on the battery, but does not want to start when it's only with the connected battery.

Does it work ok if it's already turned on on mains then removing the cable?

If it immediately powers off when you remove the cable, then it's likely a dud battery that needs replacing. Best to contact PCS. It will be covered under your warranty.

May be worth adding, on mine, when on battery you have to press and hold the power button for it to turn on, whereas on mains, you just need to tap the power button.

I do not know exactly what happened on Friday I got my laptop started with the connected battery, but after I put the windows 10 pro, I removed the battery and left the laptop on the power supply, this morning I put the battery back I removed the power and I wanted to start it and did not start. I put the power back on, I started the laptop all right, I took out the power cord and I sat on the battery, I do not think it would have a battery because it was 90 percent, strange sound does not make it possible to be connected to windows? I do not think ... I've never met this problem.

How it's better ? Use the laptop with battery and the power cord connected? Or take out the battery and use connected the power cord? Some people say first choice it's better for save battery life.
