Question about case fan sizes

Was looking at the Cosmos case and it says it supports 140mm fans but on the configurator I can only select up to 5 12 cm additional case fans, forgive me if this is a stupid question I'm just slightly confused so if i select the additional 12 cm case fans does that mean I don't get the 14 cm ones? Again i'm reading this back to myself and I sound silly but I'm just trying to get peace of mind so I know what I am potentially getting, thanks.

It really depends on what else you have in your system? The Cosmos can take up to, technically, 9 fans (though the 2 bottom ones needs a bracket and not sure if Coolermaster supply it with the case)...assuming no bracket, it can take 7 fans so one would be lost somewhere....given that, AFAIK, the 5 fans come as a pack, you would lose one of the 140mm ones. If you have a liquid cooler with fans, then you will lose another 2 fans slots which would leave room for 5 fans.

Depending on your overall spec and the thermals of it and whether it needs extra fans, I wouldn't even bother with the extra fan kit or you could just go with the 3 fan kit
Planning a monster build which comes just over 5k, i will post specs on the 5th when the new CPU's are available for ordering..... Totally ott for gaming but you only live once ;).

I'm guessing it's a 5950x and a 3090? The 3090 is not a gaming GPU so will not offer more than a 3080....my guess is the 5950x isn't a gaming chip either (even the 3960x isn't a gaming chip). Anything more than £3k on a gaming system is just wasted money to be honest...but it's your money.
This, so this, it's not the case that more expensive = better, each tier has their individual use case, it sounds like you're just maxxing out specs which is NOT a good idea and can actually lead to WORSE performance.

I'd highly recommend getting some advice on something appropriate.

Been watching a Youtuber by the name of Bang4BuckPC Gamer, he recently got his hands on this GPU (the Asus TUF variant) and he games at 4K, the same as me, and i like the results i will be using a LG 38 inch ultra wide 3840 x 1600 monitor and a 4K LG CX 55". I understand that the 3090 is only 10 - 15% faster than the 3080, and is mainly aimed at content creators and people that would use it for work. But i do understand what you and Nursemorph are saying and i appreciate the advice.

Well, then the YouTuber should change his username as getting a 3090 isn't going to give you bang for buck performance....to get £800 worth of extra performance would mean it needs to be double the performance of the 3080. I'm curious...has this YouTuber actually used a 3080 or is he just driving people to buy a 3090 because he/she thinks it is "awesome"? Just wondering.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you buy....personally, I'd rather get a much better monitor myself with the money that could be saved but that's just me and my reluctance to throw money away for no reason
The Youtuber i mentioned never said it was "awesome" or said anything to influence me, just posts footage of games and how they perform under certain resolutions and graphics settings and has done videos of many GPU's both AMD and Nvidia,

Thoughts on the case and airflow?

@RyanSAFC is this a different unrelated build to all the other threads you've posted recently? I ask because if its not you'll be better off using one of them to prevent being asked the same questions again and again.

If its different or unrelated. We need to know a few things, whats the PC for, what monitor do you intend on using with the PC, whats your budget and how much did this one come too? Also please include the reconfigurable link from the configurator.

Your questions about case/airflow have been answered here not sure why you're asking again?: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/best-case-for-air-flow.72985/#post-512602

Edit: I see someone has merged this with one of your earlier threads. Whilst I don't think that was necessarily required without you responding first (especially after I'd clearly responded asking the question...) this is one of the reasons its better to use an existing thread.
