Question about the Black Friday Deal PCs

Just wondering if there is a clear winner between the Ryzen platform and the Intel platform, about from the case, motherboard and RAM they look identical to me.

I know there's a lot of debate over which CPU is better, I'm just confused why the Intel platform uses 2666Mhz RAM and the Ryzen uses 3000Mhz RAM, to my inexperienced eyes the 3000Mhz is better.

I'm personally leaning towards buying the Ryzen PC but again, I'm on the fence, I've seen the I7 does perform maginally better but I've heard good things from Ryzen CPUs.

I don't want to buy one when there's a clear winner between the two.

First things first, AMD is the better choice for a CPU, see the thread below...

But there's compromises in both builds in order to make them seem like a steal. The motherboard in the AMD is an older model and wn't be supported as long the B550 and X570. The power supply unit is also a more budget level which will limit any future upgradability. The RAM could also be faster (AMD chips love fast RAM!) and the Wifi card is a bit slow.

If you're going to choose out of the two... go AMD. Personally, I wouldn't pick either and go for a custom instead. That way I'd know I had an upgrade path for the future.

Thanks, I couldn't decide, if the AMD has that many problems though, why not go Intel? Or is it the same story.
If you're referring to the last post on the AMD vs Intel thread, that's actually just highlighting that User Benchmark talk a load of rubbish. AMD are the clear leaders in terms of performance (y)

Given your query I would suggest it would be in your interest to ask for advice on a custom build, rather than processor comparisons. I don't believe there would be a route for an informed decision without understanding all the background, and it would take a HUGE amount of reading and understanding to get there.

If you post up your budget, intended uses and the monitor you wish to pair the system with.... we can see what we can come up with to best suit your needs. We can of course explain a brief reasoning as to why we would make certain choices but I don't think getting into the nitty gritty would be beneficial.

I have a MSI Optix AG32CV Full HD 31.5” Curved LED Gaming Monitor, my budget is £1000 and its only being used for gaming. I saw the black Friday deals and I thought it was a good deal.
