However, once I plugged in (only) the power cable and tried to boot it, it turned on, and off, and on, and off...It never even managed to post, or even beep. How on earth did this thing make it through testing? After some fiddling with the ram modules, it sometimes managed to start beeping a couple times before it starts turning off and on.
It turns out that having anything in the B1 or B2 ram slots causes this problem. Moving the RAM slots from A2 + B2 to A2 + A1 results in a stable system with both ram modules recognized and working properly. But of course I don't have dual channel in this configuration and I still can't use the B1 + B2 slots in the future.
It came with the newest available BIOS version. Is there anything I can try to fix this? Or is it time to RMA?
