Shout out to PCS staff - Ive got a long email at 8pm ish to read through - sounds like there is a bios update but no mention of usb issues regarding it.

Can update but wont have the PCS logo :D or ask them to do one - may try a clean install first, again Ive got details on how to do this, and then details of motherboard drivers for when I do this.

Thanks to P L at PCS for working so late :D

Will have a think now what to do next :D but clean install looks the route...

Sadly the computer wins and an RMA is now on the cards.

I believe I have now exhausted everything other than flashing the BIOS which I will leave to them if they think it needs doing (PCS did suggest I could, but I dont want to risk messing up my RAID setup so will leave it to the professionals).

I tried 1 stick, 2 sticks, 4 sticks, etc re the RAM

I tried full clean install

I tried different USBs in case it was related to what ubuysa mentioned

I've ran Memtest on 1 stick, 2 stick, other 2 sticks (didnt bother running it on 4 sticks) - all passed.

I ran Cinebench - nothing

I ran 3dMark - sometimes crashes machine, sometimes completes.

I run Furmark - sometimes crashes machine, sometimes completes.

Makes me think something wrong with GPU - I have removed and reseated it - and still the crashes happen but only whenever I am gaming, not any other time - and as its a straight power off and on reset the machine does, there are no mem dumps, etc to put on here and from my understanding of event viewer, its only picking up the machine reset and not what it was doing prior to make it reset.

Oh well...over to my orders page to arrange an RMA - hopefully can get it collected mid week - Im not around next weekend and then back the following week...

Due to a minor mix up at PCS I get to spend another night with her :D :D - she leaves me tomorrow to go back home for a while as she was feeling homesick :D

Poor girl, she be poorly.
Aye...she's all wrapped up for the journey.

PCS had approved the RMA yesterday, confirmed that DPD will collect, sent two emails to me about it and gave me details of pick up today between 8 and 6 for pick up etc....but then forgot to book it with DPD :D - no problem - genuine human errors happen.

Ah, that's a shame, at least they were transparent about it rather than making excuses, I'd much rather that.

I gave them a call as needed to know what time between 8 and 6 and they said "havent you had a DPD text - they usually text to say an hour time slot"....then they looked it up and realised ....ooops. LOL

Must add - after sales service has been really good re the responses I have been getting etc.
