Scoped Badger, what would you have done differently my friend?

The price was £2000 :)
Call me a substitute teacher if you want to carry on the analogy, but if you can provide the information in the link provided by Ekans2011, we can better advise you.

Mostly we need to know what you're planning to use this for and your monitor (ideally resolution and refresh rate, but model number will do), and you can move to the top of the class!

Sorry guys, I just edited my original post after seeing Erkans post.

Alas, heres the extra bits I think I missed out:

Monitor:

Model: Gigabyte GS34WQC 34” WQHD Curved Gaming Monitor
Resolution and Refresh Rate: 3440 x 1440, 300Hz
HDR and Sync: HDR Ready, FreeSync Premium

Uses:

• Primarily microsoft flight simulator 2024
• 1440p gaming (I'm happy with my current monitor)
• Dabbling in AI work for fun / learning / "futureproofing"

Max Budget:
• £2500

It’s actually 120Hz, there is an Amazon listing that incorrectly states it as 300hz which may be where the confusion lies.

MSFS isn’t a high refresh game so wouldn’t pose any issues with that monitor

I would add, for MSFS I wouldn’t hesitate in overshooting the GPU considerably, it can make use of anything you throw at it, especially the upcoming 2024 version

Good catch thank you! Yeah, I must’ve seen the wrong info on the refresh rate, but if 120Hz is enough for MSFS, then no worries. I’ll keep in mind what you said about the GPU too—appreciate the heads-up! For now I think the 7900XT leaves abit of headroom while still being good value for money.

You haven't posted the specs as in the guide so we can't edit it

You've got a sub optimal CPU in the config, it's also far more expensive than an appropriate cpu, there are other factors also that need changing.
