Really minor stupid question

Hi guys,

I've had my Vyper 17.3 for about two weeks now. I absolutely adore it. It works like a dream for what I need. I may post a review on another thread as I feel this laptop is getting an unfairly bad rep on this forum, maybe due to the lack of positive comments on it.

The question I have is simple, is there a way to ge the backlight on the keyboard, and the LED bar to automatically apear on start up? Currently I'm opening the gamin centre every time and switching it on. Not really a probelm, just wondering if I'm missing somethingobvious.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m glad you like it, I think a lot of previous negative reports have been from I configured systems where temps will be high until windows is properly configured. They’re definitely not reports on properly working systems.

I believe there’s a setting in the BIOS for the lighting, perhaps there’s something that can be set in there. If not, I’d give PCS a call as there may be an update for gaming center

I don't know of that particular model etc and I have no idea how the software operates (off to a great start). What I do know is there will be a way of doing it but it would likely be a service entry or a regedit required.

You would need to be fairly knowledgeable with how services work and what affects what in the registry.

With regards to gaming centre, when you load it.... does it come on automatically or does it remain off till you click a button? Is there a way of saving a profile once it's on? The reason I ask is you could add a shortcut to gaming centre in the startup folder.

This appears to be a bug in Gaming Center - every time I close it and re-open it the light settings are partially lost. The timer on turning off the backlighting is off and keyboard lighting is off.

I'd be tempted to see if there's a newer version, but at the very least try uninstalling and reinstalling the gaming centre software.
