My realtek audio panel dosn't listen to my inputs. So if I change the equaliser it doesn't correspond. Any ideas?

Just so I'm clear, do you mean that when you change your equalizer the output from your speakers doesn't change?

Looks to me like that is the settings for the digital out (I think thats the S/PDIF connector). Do you have anything plugged into it?

So I've changed both Realtek Digital Output & Speakers. Nothing happens.

I have headphone plugged into the socket at the front of the case by the power button.

Weird...the headphones should have still worked from the headphone socket...sounds like the headphone socket is broken or not connected

I get sound from rear Green and front socket, but the equaliser settings I set make no difference. For example, if I change the environment setting to "Auditorium" nothing changes.

If you go into device manager under audio, does it list a Realtek device or Microsoft? Can you take a screenshot of the audio devices?

And was that Asus realtek control panel thingy already installed or did you install it?

If you installed it, where did you source it from?

When I differentiate between Speakers & Digital nothing happens. Both have different volume settings as well yet it doesn't differ when I select either. This is the advanced settings.

Yeah indeed, it was installed with the drivers from their website.
Ok, what I think is happening here is that that realtek control panel is actually installed from the windows store, it's not part of the driver. Quite frankly any UWP apps just don't work, almost exclusively.

How do you access it, do you click on start and then find it in the program list?
