What Amd is better? I didn't understand lol, also will the wait be a long one for the 3080 do you think? As that's all my build is waiting on.

Not that I'm an expert, but yes, AMD are out performing Intel at the moment. So yeah, hence the relink to video as an example 
Some people are waiting a long time for that series of GPU, but I've no idea what time span you are looking at as I've gone down a different (less performance) route than that.

I got abused for picking intel over amd on one of these threads, calling my specs absolute trash i9-10850k I picked but after all the backlash I'm really second guessing my build well choice of intel over amd. I have numerous friends who preach intel, then a group on this forum who preach amd coming to my first high end gaming pc I was and am left with a headache.Not that I'm an expert, but yes, AMD are out performing Intel at the moment. I went to Intel as they were always the best, but I've watched a good few You Tube videos and gaming benchmark tests and they appear to come out on top - when doing as near as you can a like-for-like comparison. Ultimately though it is your choice. I'm no fan of either, I just want the best for my buck.
Regards GPU... it's a dilemma. But they do seem to be moving more quickly now. I suppose it depends on how badly you want the new rig to arrive, but I'd not sacrifice your preferred spec as you may only be looking at an additional week or two depending on which one you decide upon. Others will be able to advise you better than me though.

I read that of CPU sales in last half of last year, 80% were AMD. This is bearing in mind that up until about a year and a half ago, Intel held about an 80% market share generally.
