After 10 years of faithful service, the ASUS Z87M-Plus motherboard on my first desktop PC from PC Specialist has failed 
. It had an Intel Corei5 Quad Core Processor i5-4670 (3.4 GHz) 6MB Cache. It's 1st drive was a 120GB Kingston V300 SSD, SATA 6GB (450 MB/R) and its 2nd hard disk was 1TB WD CAVIAR Black WD 1003FZEX, SATA 6GB 64MB CVACHE (7,200rpm). I was running Windows 10 on it and regularly using the Microsoft Office suite. I've been very happy with it.
So I'm now looking for a replacement PC for lots of internet browsing, watching You Tube and using Microsoft Office. I have a DELL Monitor, model U2412Mc, and a basic USB wired DELL mouse, and a DELL keyboard, model RT7030 which I'm guessing is now around 20 years old(!), so come to think of it, I realise, I probably need to add a USB keyboard to the spec.
I noticed the advice on one of the threads from October 2023 about an off the shelf laptop being better value for a customer with similar requirements, so I'm wondering if that's still the case.
Many thanks in advance for any thoughts and advice on the spec which is currently just over £600. I could go up to £700 if it made sense to do so in terms of value for money:
