RGB options for power on

I haven't used RGB lighting before. I have a PC on order which should arrive mid Dec.
I've tried to find out more about the lighting but so far no answers.

I do not want the lights on until I have logged into Windows.
Can they be disabled on power-up and in sleep/hibernate?

Motherboard is Asus, RGB components are Corsair. So I will probably use the iCUE software but that wont be active until Windows loads.
I have seen BIOS options in screen shots to disable the lights but no idea if that only applies to the boot phase.

I just found this. The Hardware profile. Set everything to Black.

I assume each device holds a number of profiles and one of them is the default for power on.
