Just to approve it? Probably a couple of days.So how long does it usually take?
Thought as much even though it says the collection date is today, I'm already prepared to wait another month at this point, but it is still depressing.Just to approve it? Probably a couple of days.
It will take around a month for an RMAThought as much even though it says the collection date is today, I'm already prepared to wait another month at this point, but it is still depressing.
Arrived yesterday, side panels where on the opposite sides and the IO cables where unplugged, and after phoning support and getting them plugged in right, it would turn on but wouldn't connect to the monitor, so the support set up an RMA for it.What’s the issue though, we may well be able to help fix it. That’s what we’re here for.
We’re you definitely plugged into the gpu rather than the motherboard?Arrived yesterday, side panels where on the opposite sides and the IO cables where unplugged, and after phoning support and getting them plugged in right, it would turn on but wouldn't connect to the monitor, so the support set up an RMA for it.
Yes, I followed all instructions to the letter and had support troubleshoot as much as possible over the phone. We’re you definitely plugged into the gpu rather than the motherboard?
Support may have missed that that’s why I ask.Yes, I followed all instructions to the letter and had support troubleshoot as much as possible over the phone.
The support was fine, two hours on hold notwithstanding, but it still is a souring experience and drops my expectations for it being fine second go around.Support may have missed that that’s why I ask.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to sit on hold for 2 hours, its just going to have to wait until Monday, its just more time being wasted day by day.Think you would need to speak direct to PCS, some of us have had RMAs but the way things are at the moment any sort of delivery/pick up is different.
Yeah, I sent one off earlier just to put it on the back burner, I was expecting them to not reply to an email until after the weekend anyway.Email is usually slower but sometimes we get lucky, have same day responses, that may be an option.
The last communication I got that the RMA was approved. You should get an email with a DPD tracking number so you can track the parcel so, if you haven't got that, then it may be a collection hasn't been scheduled.
Just more poor luck of the draw.I would have expected the delivery to be arranged as soon as the RMA was approved...however, having never had an RMA through the RMA process (mine was simply a replacement part sent to me after speaking to someone on the phone), I could be wrong. Could be a symptom of everything that things don't get sorted out as quickly. I think this is one of those cases where only PCS can be helpful as we can all only speculate
When I rang up support when my PC arrived and it didn't work, we troubleshooted then he said he would set up the RMA for the next day, so the next day the RMA got approved but was also supposed to be picked up that day. The only emails I have got after that was the email confirming RMA approval.Maybe...but, as I said, I could be wrong...it may be that it takes a few days after RMA approval for the collection to be sorted out.
According to the RMA help page, you should have been given a method of tracking the RMA? And given the option of what day you want the collection to be? SOunds to me like the RMA process has not worked properly:
In which case you do need to phone them, something appears to have gone iffy somewhere in the process. When I rang up support when my PC arrived and it didn't work, we troubleshooted then he said he would set up the RMA for the next day, so the next day the RMA got approved but was also supposed to be picked up that day. The only emails I have got after that was the email confirming RMA approval.
