This might be a very silly question but my return order is saying "RMA Received" what does this mean?
It means they've received the request for an RMAThis might be a very silly question but my return order is saying "RMA Received" what does this mean?
When did you submit the RMA?So is it currently being inspected?
They'll test it first to diagnose the fault, then repair, and update at each stage. It was updated to "RMA Received" today. Was wondering what happens past this point
How long would you say this is gonna take roughly? They'll test it first to diagnose the fault, then repair, and update at each stage.
There will be a wait though, it won't go straight into testing, there's a backlog at the moment for them to work through.
You'd have to ask PCS, none of us work for them. How long would you say this is gonna take roughly?
How long did it take in the end?How long would you say this is gonna take roughly?
As above, you won’t hear anything until it’s locked at after around a month. There’s a long queue at the moment. Hopefully end of lockdown may improve things. How long did it take in the end?
Been 16 days with a broken PC still nothing.
Must be busy!
I see you have mentioned that it is taking around a month, but I have been chatting to a guy over discord who said his only took 6 days, this is in April. As above, you won’t hear anything until it’s locked at after around a month. It’s a queue system, it’s nothing to do with the fault, that would affect how long the repair process took once it was being looked at.I see you have mentioned that it is taking around a month, but I have been chatting to a guy over discord who said his only took 6 days, this is in April.
So surely it depends on the fault/stock, not that it's ALWAYS going to be 4 weeks+?
Yes but what I’m saying is you don’t know exactly that each system will take 4 weeks to get to the front of the queue, it depends on the type of faults each system in the queue has which therefore speeds up/slows down the process. It’s a queue system, it’s nothing to do with the fault, that would affect how long the repair process took once it was being looked at.
If someone had theirs looked at that quick it was probably because it was done as a priority which you would have been advised about when the RMA was accepted.

I appreciate the information, and I have a question, are you a staff member at PCS? Just wondering how you know so much.
Cheers
Well thanks a lot for your help sir and I appreciate your punctuality when replying to posts!I’m a moderator on the forum, so I read through each post to make sure it’s ok for the forum and tidy up where necessary.
It’s completely voluntary, I don’t work for PCS, but we liaise directly with them a lot and generally pick up the flow from posts and communication directly with PCS.
No one can give you an exact estimate, the whole point is it’s an estimate, it’s not something anyone can give you a solid figure over, but the average is around a month before it’s looked at at the moment. Sometimes over sometimes a bit under.
I’m sure it would be, but it’s not something PCS have, perhaps in the future when they have some spare cash they may be able to implement one.I'm sure you have a suggestions channel, but I think that a nice system would be to see where abouts in the queue your PC is?
