RTX 3070 Release

Hey team 3070! Now you have all settled into owning one (all 4 of you ;-) ) - what are your thoughts? Not so much the 'benchmarks'
But how is it performing for you in the real world day to day?

In a word... Brilliantly.

It's running 1440p ultrawide at extremely high settings at well over 100FPS pretty much all the time, even on a system-killer like Red Dead Redemption 2.

And the Founder's Edition is a sexy looking beast.

That's good - As I've already started to see the youtube 'don't get a 3070 videos. And I was kinda regretting dropping my order from a 3080 to a 3070. But I'd rather listen to people who buy stuff with their own money, and the experience rather than a benchmark. And 'Brilliantly' is what I was after!

Now. If the order could enter a build state and arrive this year ;-)

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I was about halfway through Red Dead when my card arrived and the visual difference between playing it on the 2070 Super and the 3070 is amazing.

It literally depends on your requirements and as explained above, 1440p is perfect for the 3070. I was in a similar situation waiting for the RTX 3080. Fortunately I managed to grab a 3070 from elsewhere and purchased a 1440p monitor and I'm more than happy. I've seen videos and the only advantage I can see is over the 2080ti is the extra VRAM. Is an extra 3gb worth over double the price?

I emailed a query to enquires last weekend but did not receive a response as yet. I am wondering if I order a PC build with RTX3070 will this be delivered (Ireland) pre-Christmas? I know there was high demand for this GPU and I wanted to know if there would be guaranteed delivery pre-Christmas.

It's not possible to give any estimates at the moment on any new GPU's, the deliveries are so messed up.
