So after impatiently waiting the weekend I have received the replacement this morning and it works!!! It’s a Palit instead of a Zotac - superficially the card seems more solid and comes with a sag bracket which is nice as the Zotac had a definite sag.

That's awesome! I like that bracket, it's a pretty substantial one, was that actually within the GPU box?

Yep I got the retail GPU packaging.

Turns out it’s the factory overclocked version which according to the review on TechPowerUP puts it in line with the Founders edition for performance. Happy days.
