I ordered on the 2nd of October and seemingly it would be getting built fairly soon if I hadn't switched to the 6800XT. Ah well - the gamble could have worked out, but didn't.

I had a STRIX order from the 20th September and recently switched to standard because they’re not expecting the ASUS cards anytime soon. I honestly cannot see your computer being built in the next month if you stick with the ROG STRIX variant.

They kept telling me that my computer was going to be built imminently around a month ago, time has been ticking away...

I have just spoken to them on the online chat again (didn't catch the representative's name) and been informed that, since that day (6th November) there have been - this is where you brace yourselves - 2 units delivered (ROG Strix version). At this point I shed a little tear, not gonna lie.

The chap helpfully explained that I should expect my PC to go into build on the week of Christmas, but not to get my hopes up as this is just a rough estimate. They have deliveries scheduled but, like everywhere else, deliveries aren't showing up or aren't having as many units as they should. So basically, they don't really know.

Now for the good bits. I got some numbers.

I ordered my PC on 30th October at 14:35.

For anyone waiting for a Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, there are 572 orders currently in place and only 38 in stock. I am number 34 in that queue, so one of those has been assigned to me.

For anyone, like me, waiting for a ROG Strix 3080, there are 392 orders in place. I am number 176 of those orders.

For anyone waiting for a regular RTX 3080, there are 1,492 orders in place. I am not in that queue so can't give an idea of where they are working through those.

I hope this information helps some people make informed decisions. I am considering trying to source the GPU from somewhere else separately, but will give PCS some more time as I do love them as a company.

I wince at the total amount of regular RTX 3080 orders that are in place and having little clue as to where my own position is, alike to most.

All we can hope is that the quantities of the stock are coming in to fulfill the orders on time, if it were anything alike to the ROG Strix variant we'd be waiting forever. One upside being there are a number of brands, Zotac, MSI and such that people may receive depending on what stock comes in when.

I did chase my order up last week, checking the stock of all my components and while they didn't give me a position in the queue I'll give it another couple of weeks before chasing again since it seems they are starting to work on the Early October orders now.

A buddy of mine got his standard 3080 in testing. He ordered sometime in October. It seems the standard 3080s are rolling on.

Just to add to this, received my PC last week, Zotac 3080, in the fusion extreme with the 3900 Rzyen 9.

Works like a dream compared to my old 970 with I5 :D ordered 21/09.

Good news my pc was delivered today in quality condition!
I have a question regarding the palit 3080 though. Without playing any games or anything just sitting on the Home Screen my gpu was running around 50c so I downloaded thunder master and it said fans were running at 0% when trying to use the custom curve and trying to get the fans going before it reached 50 it was still not applying what I had set it to and stayed at 0%. At the moment I’m having to control the fans manually as the temperature increases?

I may have butchered how I’m trying to say this, hopefully someone understands😂

I've been following this thread since I ordered and following quite a few unsuccessful chats with 'Alice' I got through to a helpful person who told me that I am 150th out of 1400 orders only waiting on the 3080 and the rest of my build is in stock.

I ordered a standard 3080 on 14/10 at 14:57 so if anyone needs a reference point for the 'queue' then this should help.

So at an assumed 10 x 3080s a week, you're looking at a 15 week wait 🤯

Glad I jumped ship...twice...and went for a 3070 in the meantime ;)

I'm ordering for the first time in a while and I'd rather have the performance than the quick fix, but yeah they've put it at a Christmas week dispatch. Not the end of the world for me with work being busy atm.

I spoke to someone this morning and I'm 191 in the queue, they also mentioned an estimate of xmas week. Hopefully this means they are expecting quite a few cards around that time.

Yea was on the chat got this - I actually asked via email if I could tweak my order to bring the date forward but no response, guess that complicates things too much

"Your order is in a waiting list due the material - RTX 3080. The forecast to dispatch is Xmas week. This is an estimated timeframe and not guaranteed. I do apologise."
