Just a random question,
when picking your parts, for example the 3080. Would you be able to request that part if PC Specialist do not have stock on it? Or can you only add that component if PC Specialist have it ready for the sale?

You can select it if it's in the configurator, if it's unavailable it will either be listed as "pre order" or if it's completely out of stock, then it will be greyed out and unselectable.
If a part is listed as pre order it means they've got confirmed deliveries in the future and are just waiting for arrivals to fulfil orders, if it's greyed out it means they have no means of getting any stock at the moment.
So you would be able to request the part if PCS had orders due to arrive, but not if they didn't have any orders confirmed for delivery.
Or at least that's the way I'm imagining it, I don't work for PCS, it's just the way that seems to make sense based on history.

So in the case that it doesnt have it listed as pre order and instead its just selectable like everything else then you should expect the PC in the window given on their delivery page?

Each GPU is different, you can see the average times above for the 3080. Things aren't normal at all at the moment, stocks are very difficult to be certain of when deliveries will arrive due to logistics issues around the world causing mayhem, mixed with Brexit, mixed with Covid, mixed with silicon shortages, mixed with highest demand in computing history. Expect delays and you won't be disappointed.

Expect delays even though it was listed without the pre order factor? meaning it was available to choose as if it were available now?

Nothings available now as explained above. Its basic JIT ordering so when you order there won't be any stocks in, it's all based on projected deliveries.

Your order will likely be delayed until they're back in stock, but if you only ordered 4 days ago, they're in stock around the time it would naturally go into build anyway (01/10/2021), build time for the 3080 is around 25 working days.

I rang them up because I wasn’t sure, but apparently they oversold on GPUs to people so my order will be delayed until next month now
